ATV TECH in a nutshell....

ATV TECH is a family owned business founded in october 2005, owned and operated by myself (Kris) and my wife (Carmilla) Hoggan. Our core business is servicing and repairing all terrain vehicles (ATV's) on the northern rivers/north coast of new south wales. Our business principals are based on honesty and quality service at the best possible price. It is our belief that a happy customer is a good customer, and our aim is to establish a mutually beneficial relationship with each and every one of our customers, as without people, there is no business.

My previous employment includes aprox.1 year ('93 - '94) at Kyogle small engines, (A small engine repair service that my parents, Bruce and Rondah, and uncle started in Kyogle). I then made the move to Lismore, with my parents, as they sold Kyogle small engines to my uncle and started Farm Moto (A Toro and Polaris dealership in Lismore). I remained at Farm Moto for six years ('95 - 2000), in which time I obtained my certificate as a qualified motorcycle mechanic, and a craftsman certificate in marine mechanics. During this time we were also heavily involved in racing jet skis at a national level, acheiving 1 national, 1 queensland and 2 nsw titles on a Polaris / Farm Moto sponsored ski built by Dad and I, and ridden by me. My involvement in racing then took me to Taren Point, in Sydney, for 1 year (2000 - '01),to a Polaris dealership and jet ski performance shop called Great White Jetsports (owned by David White). City life eventually made me homesick, and as they say, you can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy ! I then returned back to trusty old Lismore, and my even trustier parents, who made room for me once again at Farm Moto. I then worked with the "oldies" for another 5 years (01 - 05), all the while honing my skills on the same Polaris quads that I cut my teeth on back in '93. In the midst of all this I married the love of my life (Carmilla) in august 2003, and we brought two lovely children (Seth and Skye) into the world in 2003 and 2005. It was not long after this that I flew from the nest at Farm Moto to start out on my own, with the goal of freeing up some extra flexibility of time to spend with my own growing family. And so...

... ATV TECH was born.

 




Moving on from there business kept on growing and so I moved to a shed in Goonellabah in 2006 for a short period of time, then moved to a new premises in Snow St in February 2007 and I was busier than ever. So at that time I decided to pass on my knowledge and hire an apprentice (Alex Morschel). My wife (Carmilla) also joined us part time to take over the accounts side of the business and together we made a good team. In 2008 we took on our first dealership (Kazuma), it was a step forward and we were able to make a start in sales. In April 2009 still flat out in the workshop we decided to hire a fully qualified mechanic to join the team, Luke Scott was ready and waiting to join us. Starting part time he bought even more experience with dirt/road motorcycles and together we made a perfect team. In May 2009 we were fortunate to secure the Kymco dealership and it was time to play with the big boys. But with securing the dealership we realised we did not have enough room at Snow St and chose to then move around the corner to Wilson St Sth (end of Snow st turn right). Unfortunately being busy cant last forever and so in April 2010 we decided to let Alex move on to other areas of his career and move into a three person team once again.  We had a fantastic first year selling 26 Kymco ATV'S proving we are here to stay and so is our Kymco success.
